Katherine Henson, penning as k.e., lives in small town Illinois where she spends her days as an avid coffee drinker. She self-published her first book, “wildflowers: the first collection” in 2016. Day-to-day she is a barista, business owner, freelance writer and designer, and social media guru. Katherine has been writing for as long as she can remember, and it is both her love language and preferred choice of communication. For Katherine, writing has been a way to escape and discover; through body image issues, depression, anxiety, and loss Katherine has used her words as a way to be honest with herself, while also helping others understand that they are not alone.

She graduated from Olivet Nazarene University in 2015 with a degree in Criminal Justice and Social Work and plans to return for her Masters (in what she does not know). She owns her own coffee business (mycoffeeism.com), and has high hopes of opening her own coffee shop and bookstore one day. She also has three tattoos and feels like that’s an important thing to note.

You can follow her on InstagramTwitter, FacebookTumblr, and here on her blog where she shares book reviews, poetry, essays, devotions, and more.
