Katherine Henson, penning as k.e. She self-published her first book, “wildflowers: the first collection” in 2016. Katherine has been writing for as long as she can remember, and it is both her love language and preferred choice of communication. For Katherine, writing has been a way to escape and discover; through body image issues, depression, anxiety, and loss Katherine has used her words as a way to be honest with herself, while also helping others understand that they are not alone.

perfect is boring, human is beautiful

Too many people get lost in the waves of expectations and conformity, the suffocation of trendy and popular.

Searching for acceptance wherever we can be handed it.
Grabbing for whatever can numb the pain.
Pulling in whoever can fill the void.

The world overwhelms us.

But this is not the end.
This is not the way we fall.
We will not drown here, and we are not done here.

Say it with me...

You are of infinite worth.
Comparison is a thief of your worth.
Do not try to be ordinary, or fit in.
You weren’t meant to be ordinary;
you were meant to burn down the earth,
and paint the sky a new beauty.

You are more.

Don’t let anyone ever simplify you.
You are a fireball, so go ahead and burn.

Perfect is boring. Human is beautiful.

I find myself in constant need of the reminder that I was not created in comparison to others - nor was I created for perfect.
We are each created uniquely and wonderful.
Ordinary can't touch us. Remember that.

Self reminder: seeking perfection never satisfies. stop pretending to be somebody you're not just to get something you think you need; don't shape yourself to the needs and trends of the world.

I am here, grabbing you by the face, looking you in the eyes, and proclaiming to your heart that nothing and no one here will satisfy your soul - nothing until we seek and find and follow the One behind the breath of our being.

He is there, He is pursuing you, and He is your answer.
