God speaking through nature. Do you hear Him?

Psalm 19 on katherinehenson.com

"The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard. Their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun, which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber, and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy. Its rising is from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the end of them, and there is nothing hidden from its heat."
Psalm 19:1-6

There is not a day that goes by, nor is there a place in the world, where God does not extend this ministry for the healing and hope and happiness and humility of those who will receive it. I’m speaking of the ministry of the Lord through what he has created, through the world of nature, especially what we see when we look up into the skies during the day and during the night.
— John Piper

Isn't this amazing?

EVERYTHING that God has made - even what we cannot see or fathom - has been created to minister to those who will listen (US). For me this is amazing. I feel God in nature more than anywhere else. When I've stood on mountains. When I watch the moon. When I count the stars. When I hike in the woods. When I jump into the waves. When I lay under the clouds. When I run through fields of wildflowers. HE IS THERE. HE IS SPEAKING. It blesses my heart. And in each place, God has spoken to me. And in each place, the message has been different. Not in words, but from His mind and heart to my mind and heart. He is literally writing for us in the sky.

I think in our culture of screens and validation, we have stopped looking for God in the sky. We have limited where we can and will hear Him by what fits our agenda best. We are in a rush and we miss what He most wants us to here - Him. Him in the silence. Him in the moments we often miss trying to speed to the texture capture. Him, in all that He has written for us in the stars and beyond.

He wants us to hear, BUT we have to be willing to listen.

Psalms 19:14

"Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer."

How is the God speaking to you? More importantly, what are you hearing and how are you sharing that with the rest of the world?

I want to pray for us that God would open the eyes of our hearts, so that when you leave this morning and look up, you will see like you have never seen before.

My God, My God....

Our auto tune is set to rejected.
