Katherine Henson, penning as k.e. She self-published her first book, “wildflowers: the first collection” in 2016. Katherine has been writing for as long as she can remember, and it is both her love language and preferred choice of communication. For Katherine, writing has been a way to escape and discover; through body image issues, depression, anxiety, and loss Katherine has used her words as a way to be honest with herself, while also helping others understand that they are not alone.

So, survive

I know you. You've got this surviving down pat. Maybe it doesn't feel like it, because it feels a lot more like shambles and ruins. But, my darling, that is what surviving is. Now it's just the living part we've got to work on. That's where the wild, crazy, breathless moments come into play.

But I promise you, you are surviving.
I promise you, we're gonna make it - a surviving battle we are.

It has been one hell of a year,
one hell of a life.

I have worn the season like a scar,
felt the pain deep in the bags under
my eyes, running down
over my cheeks.

I weathered all these midnights,
fought for these dawns.

This is what surviving looks like,
my dear.

it looks a lot like FALLING,
falling to pieces,
shaking -

So survive.

i woke up

You are alive
